Any advice how to remove SOAP STAINS off this Martin Rack? Kinda shocked this is happening from cleaning the truck?

This is a common sentiment among consumers. Companies know it. That’s why so many have outsourced to other countries. It’s a race to the bottom price point. Most customers just want inexpensive products. They don’t really care about anything else.

People don't want to hear that. Never mind the fact it has an extra tie down holes and sits lower. I tried to get them to give me how many differences it needed to not be a direct copy. They never did. Now granted, I have no doubt the Prinsu was used as a huge inspiration and it's damn near identical. They just whined until the thread was shut down. I found it funny that the one bitching the most had a chinese knock off pro grill on his truck. I guess that's ok. I've had my Martin rack for over a year with absolutely no complaints. I will eventually get the camper rack too.

I'm interested in the rack i just want to see what happens with this. Any idea how much weight the stock 5 bar rack can hold?

Yeah I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape about other companies making a similar roof rack. Caliraised has one a company called hooks and something has one. It should be encourage that we have more people willing to take time out to provide us with great products. Its not like people aren't ordering prinsu anymore.

I have not tested the rack to the point of shearing bolts, but if you're planning to mount a RTT, or anything of that weight and size, I recommend adding an additional (2) crossbars for a total of (6) up top. At that point, the rack can easily support the additional weight. The standard (5) crossbar rack is more designed for those looking to mount the basic traction pads, rotopax, and/or storage case without completely breaking the bank.

What are you using to clean the truck? Are you scrubbing the rack at all? I haven't experience this on my truck.

Funny enough, I use their citrus clean on my rig also. It's decent for bugs too

anyone have suggestions for what size bolt or nut is needed for the cross bars? I cannot find a size that will slide in. Ordered a mount meant for Prinsu and that hardware is too large.

Awesome, thank you! They hold stuff pretty solid up there? Seem like the bolt wouldn't be able to go in too far

Depends on the length of the bolt. I grabbed a few different sizes because you have to factor in bottoming out into the crossbar. I'm using the same t-nuts holding my 6.5 foot awning brackets with no issue. Added a few eye bolts for strapping down various gear.
