Any woodworkers?

I finished these this morning. Mostly been using just a danish oil finish on everything.

 

Yea.. they're pretty detailed for wood!

Good work Tom! I always enjoy seeing other people's work, and seeing how it was made.

 

Ended up making some more pick storage. Had a few people wanting one and I made some for the craft show coming up.

 

I'll give an update on this if anyone cares. I have a 700ish sq ft well insulated garage with a small window. The garage is typically 82 degrees when it is 90 outside. This unit did not do anything. It may have made it hotter, I think its the single hose design that creates suction and pulls hot air in through the cracks and such. I am debating trying a dual hose unit that is not supposed to have that issue. I should really pony up and buy a 24k btu split system but don't want to foot the bill for that at the moment.

 

Did you vent it outside? We had a small one worked good for a small space

I did, I built an insulated mount for the hose to exhaust out the window, I also tinted the window to keep heat down and such.

 

And it was producing cold air at the unit?

 

I ran it for a good 6 hours straight and it was pumping out ice cold air.

 

I made a walkin cooler that would keep temps down to 34° to 40° in an uninsulated garage . Using a window unit and a coolbot controller...

 

I think a large window AC would totally work, but I live in one of those uppity neighborhoods that will not allow such an eyesore.

 

You should have seen the looks I got when I filleted fish in the front yard!

Maybe just under rated for the space? Also some have a water overflow container that needs to be drained to keep cooling

 

It evaporates the drainage out the exhaust and seems to do a good job of it. It has a tank but does not fill up. I really think its just sucking hot air in through the garage door seals.

Reclaimed wood key rack. It’s not perfect but close enough for the wood not being square or straight. My wife like the look so that’s a win
