Drivers side almost went perfectly, until I had to redo two of the snaps, so now I have two extra little holes. I’ll probably just fill with bondo and paint so it’s not so obvious.

Looks functional. Was there a reason that you chose snaps instead of Velcro?

I didn’t foresee Velcro withstanding highway speeds

There's some stuff called Dual-Loc or some such made by 3M. It's heavy duty. Guess it's too late now.

Getting started on the next project. Pretty happy with how these welds came out. This square tube is what my ifs skid will now mount to, raising it up 4”. I’ll determine the new angle once it’s all done.

I’m teleworking right now. Amazing how much more time there is in a day when I don’t have to commute.

You screw in the male pieces of the snaps into your door? I have a couple of those on the back of my bed for my softopper by the back window.

Looking good so far. Couple things i've learned from mine...

    - Keep the vinyl cleaned and conditioned, first set i didnt and cracked after the first year. Also bought better Bestop supplier vinyl. [IMG]

    - Silicone bead around the seams to make the sewing sealed and give more support.

    - I roll mine up together and put them in the toolbox, dont roll them super tight.

-When it gets cold the clear vinyl tightens up, make sure you have some slack (opposite for those hot days)

    - Looks like you got the same snaps I did, keep a few spares, and everyonce in awhile slightly tighten the inner snap tension piece. Doing this I have no problem doing 80mpg + with no issues of flapping or flying off.

Duallock is legit! But the side attached to the fabric I'm not sure about as stiff as that stuff is.

Good point. I dunno. I have a roll at home and it's pretty flexible. Only one way to find out...

Everything is only tacked up, but I’ll be gaining 15.7° approach angle at the skid plate.

@buyobuyo you we’re asking about being concerned about hitting something so I snapped a couple pics for you. The closest things are those little brackets which I may cut off tomorrow

That looks like an easy fix. Just move the snaps on the door. With the bedliner it's easy to cover up the mistake. You're going to want that panel as tight as you can get it. IMO. :notsure:
