non functional hoodscoop functional?

    Has anyone made the Sport's hoodscoop functional? like ram/forced air? Im just curious.

    Herculiner bed liner, White LED instrument lights, Custom painted hood, Homemade leather steering wheel wrap, Avic u310bt gps stereo, 1.5" bushwacker fender flares, 1.25" bilstein lift front, 1" shackle lift rear, rear bilstein 5100 shocks, ridiculous helper spring lift rear, wet okole seat covers, mutilated exhaust, boom mat under hood
    Doesn't work due to the placement of the scoop and the aerodynamics a truck. The scoop location is actually a slight vacuum.

    It's been talked about, and tried, lots. :)

    3" Ready lift SST lift, Magna Flow cat back exhaust, Volant cold air intake, Grillcraft MX grill, N-Fab Prerunner light bar w/ 4 Hella 7 series lights
    Volant has a ram air kit that brings the air through the grill. Their kits are very nice. I have never had my engine light come on. My kit has been on for 20k miles.

    Hmm, TW seems to think that is an invalid username. Link?
    FYI: The hood scoop on the tacoma's is in a negative pressure zone. So it isn't possible to function as a ram air scoop. You can run ducting to it, but it isn't going to be particularly effective.

    about as functionaly as the hole in your fender that your truck sucks air thru stock, i'm still gonna cut my scoop out so it's at least open, if it has a vacume effect at least it'll suck hot air out of the engine compartment
