A few additions to make me feel cool.
Here are some 16" Duratracs with a 2.5 OME lift. Overall I love the tires but for mostly road use go with the Nittos.

I got a quote at the local Goodyear place for $233/tire mounted. I thought that sounded high, but maybe not? Is $932 out the door a good deal???

here are my duratracs on about 2.5" of lift

    those prices seem high? i'm sure fountain tire was cheaper than that when I got quotes. I just checked there website... 265 75 r16 = $1066.72 installed 265 70 r17 = 1213.72

I got my tires in Canmore from the ford dealership, they did a buy 3 get 4 deal for $950 for the tires 265 75 r16's.... then they screwed me $370 to mount and balance them and 10psi of air in each tire :(

So I've come across an add on craigslist for some Nitto Terra Grappler A/Ts for $475 new. I take it this is a pretty good deal?

I have 285/75/16 nitto terra grapplers and i love them. They wear evenly and they last if you keep them rotated. Like you I don't off road that much but when I need to they have good traction. They have a little noise to them but you can barely hear it. You can't beat them for the price. Go with the, and you won't be disapointed.
