    Hello, I’m running a skar rp1500.1 and a skar m400.4 amp. I was wondering if I should upgrade alternator or just add a second battery. When the bass hits my voltage drops to around 12.3-12.6. Also running 4 gauge sky high big 3 also done.

    Sounds like you need to add a capacitor to your system.

    Do the big 3 wire upgrade and also upgrade the alt

    Was wondering if I should get my alternator re wired for higher output or just buy a higher output alternator

    Don’t waste your money on a second battery or a capacitor. They are both useless in a system like this because now not only does your truck have to power the amps, but it also has to try and charge the cap back up at the same time. They almost always create more issues than they fix.
    Get a high output alternator and be done with it. 250A or more would be fine

    I would personally start using 0awg and do the Big 3, and see how things go at that point. You’ll have to do it anyway with a new alternator so may as well do it first and see if it fixes yours problem
