You might need to adjust your insert tool to tighten more.
You have the first squeeze to insert the jack nut but you might need to adjust for a for the full tolerance.

if you have a manual tool there is a dial on the top head to adjust, I used a nematic tool to pull till threshold is met to tolerance

I used a pair of needle nosed vice grips to hold the jack bolts. I tightened them with my impact driver. They are snug and do not move. Also, when you torque the unit into place, they finish tightening up.

This. Readjust the tool and crimp again. You want the jack nuts tight.

I will. I bought the tool suggested in your instructions. Can you tell me with more detail exactly how to do that?

The end should have an adjustment screw. You need to tighten that up and re-crimp the jack nut.

As an AC owner with limited interior space, I’ve always felt a little left out of the Meso Molle party.

There are decent alternatives, but I like the robustness of the pre-bent Meso design.

I lobbed off the “ears” of the Molle rack, drilled on-center holes and mounted it up using the Meso hardware. No extra bending required.

Vertical downward stability is excellent and the front to back rocking is minimal: I get about 1/32 of an inch rock when I press hard on the rack. The result is more than adequate for my needs.

    DIY installation notes are here.

Wow! Thanks for the intel. I have never test fit it on an access cab so that’s cool it worked. I might have to tweak the files and offer something like this in the future for AC guys. I never thought 1 bolt on each side would be stable but good to know now :)

Tried to tighten the river gun and re-crimp. No difference. The jack nuts slide back and forth still.
    I'll take pics tomorrow

If you are going to use jack nuts often, buy the tool from Amazon, it's worth it (very easy). Otherwise you can just hold the jack nut with a set of needle nosed vice grips, and torque it into place with the screw that comes with it. Yes, these are used to anchor the overhead molle rack and and retention Kit. I set the jack nuts first and then installed the molle rack. Once that was done, I pulled one screw out at a time, and installed the retention kit and grab handle.

For the people having trouble with the install. I want to encourage you to give up and sell me your molle rack. I’m just a bit jelly...

Mine are a bit scuffed from being removed twice. Once for antenna removal and once again for the Molle rack. But they are intact. Unless you live on the other side of Earth, I’ll send them to you. PM me.

I notice you have the same med kit bag as I do. If yours hangs down alot, sew the center of the velcro to the backing of the rip away panel.
You can see the gray stitching I have on mine that follows the sew lines of the molle straps. Mine hung down like 2 inches before I had my MIL sew a few lines in there.
