Mountain Hatch thread...

This is something that has been on my list for a little while now. We were out in the back country yesterday and, as often is the case when we go out, a flat tailgate surface would have come in handy a few times. I showed this to the wife this morning and she said to get it so, not being one to to argue, I immediately pulled the trigger on an orange one.

I wish they did a black w/ an orange core but it looks like they only do that w/ red and white. Regardless, I'm looking forward to getting it installed so we can use it on a few upcoming camping trips.

Got it in today! Install is easy, fit is good. Wife brought a beer out and slid it to me across the open tailgate. Worth it!

These are stupid and not sanitary cutting boards. Truck beds are dirty. If you cook or do anything else then an metal flat panel is better.

It should go without saying that it should be sanitized before using as a cutting board each time.

I have never been on instagram, nor have I ever used the word overland to describe anything that I do.

 

To each their own I guess. I don't do Instaface or Snapbook but I did want a flat surface for my tailgate to use while I'm out camping. If I was looking for overland clout I guess I could have put a snorkel on or something.....

 

They are all the same size, right? If they have small or large I’d like a large one. Red please.

I like my mountain hatch... but I kinda wish someone would make a flat surface but with a hidden cubby that goes into the tailgate. that would be awesome

Love my MH. I have one in my kitchen too they sent me for free. When I bought it last year they dropped the price a day after I got it and I called them asking WTF. So, free kitchen cutting board. I have a thing for cutting boards apparently but I fish a lot so they come in handy.
