I'm sure I may be singing a different tune during football though. The Aub/LSU, Aub/GA, and Iron Bowl are some of the worst weekends to work here

Yes I do but I just picked up a Tracker today for the transmission, I am converting my Samurai to automatic.

Trying to make it easier offroading, Putting an automatic in my Samurai, should give me a lot better control crawling and no more pushing the clutch

 

I'm not a crawler, but even when I had my TJ...…..I never understood why someone would want the standard trans over the auto. I get the love of a standard trans, just not in the rocks. That being said, I believe that a Wrangler should only be a standard

 

Gonna need to borrow that bad boy. Planning on putting my trans in second weeknd of August most likely

I love the manual in my Tacoma but that is a different type of offroading

 

I hope I am finished long before then

 

I'm glad I went with an auto, but I do love manuals. I just got tired of DD'ing one after 9yrs of it.

 

I never get tired of driving to Tacoma but we do some pretty hard offroading in the Samurai and it will be so much easier with the automatic. I was on a steep hill this past weekend and had to go over a rock about the size of a beach ball about mid way up it. Trying to work the clutch, brake and accelerator peddle doing that is almost impossible.

 

I'd damn sure wan tan auto with that.....hell......I'm lazy and want an auto anyway
