One thing to note is the hammer hangar provide a small live in the rear as well. As opposed to stock or BAMF hangars. Not sure how the shacks will help but a greasable one is a nice add.

From what I’ve researched, they are just as worth having for everyday driving as well as off roading.

Performance wise, no mods. Just suspension and big wheels. What exhaust setups do you guys recommend, long tubes and definitely a roost factor Y pipe but I'm not sure what longtubes and intake to get so recommendations and what to look for would be greatly appreciated

I got some BAMF shackles and hangars in my garage waiting to go on. I don't like messing with the cut off wheel so I'd rather have someone with a torch hook me up with the quick cuts for the OE rivets.

same here. I may just go at it with the cut off wheel whenever I get new leafs. You end up cutting the hangar off anyway. Would be nice to get a quick plasma torch on it though.

It would. I was supposed to get hooked up by Jerry but the amount of work involved in doing them along with removing the leafs doesn't sound like something I want to do on jackstands.

Did not seem too bad. Every time I have seen jerry out with his plasma cutter they were doing it on jack stands. I need to get my truck weighed so I can figure out what leaf pack to get.

If you are needing to get out the rivets, a heavy grit flapper wheel is what I used. Then a punch. Easier to control in those areas that a cutoff wheel.

I second this method. Much faster and easier too. Think the last time I did it it was like 1-2 min per rivet

if i helped someone id opt for the torch. drilling out rivets was a messy chore.

If you have access to an air chisel, they work great for knocking those rivets out on 2nd gens. The 3rd gens have a tack weld on top so its a pain.

I always just cut an X on the rivets with a cut off disc, air chiseled them off in 4 bits then knocked the rest of the rivets out with the same air hammer, but using a pointed attachment.

It sounds easy on paper, but it was so time consuming despite the air tools. Those stupid rivets are no joke.

You don't understand, I'm saying I don't want to mess with a cut off wheel. I've ground out one too many items on this truck with it to have any desire to want to use it anymore. I almost took my finger off the last time I used it. I barely missed it, besides, with all the sparks it creates and garbage it kicks out it's annoying.

sparks float around too. if you value your paint cover the truck. the embers land and pit.....then rust.
