Looks like you’re getting out there and enjoying this beautiful summer in Colorado! Making me want a camper like that, too...

Holler if you ever come up towards Routt-Medicine Bow NF. I just moved here for work and have been putting in time figuring out the trails in the area.

Added the extra leaves to the Dakar pack today to get some extra payload. Cleaned up in between the leaves while I had them all apart. Got some more height and their nice and quiet again. 0FBF5847-5658-4253-82D7-EB8F29C8A047.jpg8E60492A-A144-4A0F-9E6B-FB1EEFFFEBE2.jpgB276DB2B-4447-4ADB-B611-9BBB1F693BC8.jpg

Yeah they’re homemade but they fit no problem. I’ll try to get some pics showing the bumper in relation to the skids. They really aren’t that close when you look at it from the bottom. I think you could run just about any skids with the C4 bumper and be fine. FWIW I kinda stole the design of my skids from a few different manufacturers but I suppose there’s only so many ways to skin that cat.

Yeah very true. I really want to try and build a roof rack similar to a prinsu but I haven’t quite figured out how to cut out the front and sides. I feel like it could look pretty hack if I just use a grinder because aluminum is so soft. The cross bars would be cake though.

Yeah. In all fairness though is it gonna be worth it ? The cost for AL to use cut ect. If you're handy (obviously you are) and you enjoy it yeah, if you get a better deal on AL even better

Plus you're gonna paint it right ? Worth a shot

Yeah that’s a good point. I will have to price out some aluminum plate and 80/20 track. I think prinsu wants like $650 for their cab rack which seems high to me because it’s such a simple thing. I bet I have $125-$150 in the skids material wise. Lots of man hours though which add up.

The other thing is Prinsu’s rack has a no shit tested weight rating and mine would be a guess at best. Not that I’d ever have more than skis or something on it.

It’s been a minute since I updated the thread. Been spending all my time camping and not working on the truck. Only thing I’ve added is redline tuning hood struts. Guess I’ll just upload a bunch of pics from our travels across the country.

Picked up 35 lobsters and cooked/flash froze them. Then we brought them back to Colorado to make a ton of lobster rolls for the bro’s.

I don’t have much for complaints really. It tows super nice. Kept all my lobster frozen on the 3 day drive back. Would have been cool to have a/c while sleeping in the July/August heat though. I forget that it doesn’t get cool at night down at sea level but that’s not usually an issue here in CO.

Update bro, go tekonsha if you haven’t already. My Redarc shits out every time I plug the trailer in. It goes haywire and I have to unplug it under the dash. It’s a huge pain in the ass.
