    Funny, back home in the uk we used to go through Europe in a ‘84 Mercedes 300 2.8 (petrol not diesel) towing a caravan fully loaded (within limits) and my Dad never bitched.

    Americans are so used to having access to BIG trucks & engines which Obviously makes life easier. But ultimately if you’re driving sensibly and within limits you shouldn’t have trouble.

    Expect braking distances to double, expect your mpg to be halved and expect you rev counter to be sitting WAY higher than when not towing.

    Without user error the Tacoma is a capable towing vehicle and as long as you’re not expecting it to do what a BIG truck can do You will be fine...

    Is this the time and place to say that the ‘rest of the worlds‘ version of the Tacoma has a diesel?

    you know I got google skills haha.

    And it’s in Anza Borrego, CA. There are a ton of sculptures there of dinosaurs and other random things, super cool. My lady and I made a day of it last year.

    @jmauvais dang, I was close. I was half expecting U to say it was just a cactus or something. The profile pic is small/pixelated on my phone.

    Just googled that park, looks like a perfect natural habitat for dino’s and Tacoma’s.

    Have to admit Hawaii Island is feeling pretty small right now!

    @jmauvais p.s cool photos.

    I’m a full time photographer and I could imagine having a blast with goofy clients and those dinosaurs, looks like a great place...

    Any ways, back on topic... Do u think a T-Rex would be too heavy for the Tacoma to tow?

    Haha I’ve only been to Kauai but it was amazing. Anza Borrego is a great place too. My girl and I definitely had some fun with the dinosaurs, bunch of people in the park find one of the sculptures and have a picnic beside it; there are quite a few to choose from. Whole bunch of trails, canyons, hikes, and a whole bunch of other things to do there. If you ever end up in California, it’s worth checking out.

    And can the tacoma tow a T-Rex... depends on what it ate and when it’s last dookie was. But I think it’s possible.

    Smoked the brakes in 60 ft, going 55 mph that's like 1.3 seconds. Time to get a refund on the top of the line brakes.
