Headlights and tail lights have melted, and I don’t know why.

    correct. The cool thing was at the time my headlights were faded and scratched so replacing them worked out great

    My drl also doesn’t work so I’m thinking that they’re just crappy aftermarket headlights

    Yes. Those headlights are a projector type and those don't come stock on your Tacoma so they are aftermarket. Paid for the Bling but not the proper engineering and that's why they are melting the outer lens.
