Aware that these 'mods' are mostly underwhelming but i plan to keep it mostly stock anyways...

The played out (fake as f*ck obviously) TRD Bro grill (sans Raptor lights). Was iffy on this purchase but after a day of testing it out by swerving all over lanes and tailgating haha no warnings about dirty sensor and whatnot, even in last night's rain. I hardly ever use cruise control, let alone radar cruise, so for $130 it was worth it even if the quality was spotty. Had to trim off excess plastic and the stupid garnish doesn't fit in flush all the way, but it works so that's that. A satisfactory upgrade...until it isn't and I revert back to my stock grill.

Thinking of vinyl wrapping the chrome bumper caps to a white that most closely resembles the hue of the truck, but after a few days I am not as bothered by the fake chrome as I thought I'd be. Still if the price is right I would much rather have no chrome anywhere on the truck. The stock taillight redesign is a huge step back from the previous red/white imho, but again not as bothered as I expected after a few days.

Priming these massive skids is quite a challenge; flipping them seems to take primer off the edges, probably due to weight + cardboard underneath. I may just say fuck it and start applying bedliner.

    My plan:

    • bedliner on outside, sides/edges, anything with outside contact
    • semi-gloss high performance enamel "inside"

Took mine in for 15K service and had two techs comment on how nice my truck was. Felt pretty good about it. Tacomas are AWESOME! IMO

I mostly listen to railroad frequencies. Wilson County SO, Fire, and EMS are not encrypted.

I used to be able to get away with that for mountain bike parts... but now that she has started biking herself, she knows.
