First time I really got to drive it since we bought it back on the 15th of may since I had to rebuild the rear end now I need to figure out if it's a bad battery or a parasitic draw on it lol bit it drives good tho

but seriously you sure it's the transmission? The wifes 2007 Accord was shifting funny, surging, and just generally acting funny.. Changed the fluid and filter, theres 2, and it's been good since.

 

Closest one I found was a ginger up in N.C.!

Did a fluid swap but not a filter swap it helped for a week then shit the bed again. It slams into gears and sometimes just doesn’t shift at all. I’m not a professional, so I couldn’t be 100% sure!

 

I think I remember you saying about that. If fluid helped I would think a filter is clogged. After working with my power steering, same fluid/idea it's hydraulic system, fluid heats up from being pumped and looses effectiveness if it's restricted.

 

Well this ain't gonna be happening... Seems like the earlier years are internal.

Yea.. That 2nd filter on the newer one Honda says isn't replaceable. That's their money maker! "you need a new transmission" and they just change the filter, clean it up nice to make it look replaced, and send you on your way.

Once I get off this conference call, I'll watch the videos and see if it makes sense for me to do.... I will say I did notice some solder on those wires a few months ago when I was changing the fluid.

 

honestly I’d sell it and cut losses now unless you can find a quick and simple fix. I don’t like Honda V6’s, they are a bitch to work on and they seem to wear out auto transmissions right around 200k.
