Agreed. It is more about his style and video quality. I tried some other channels and just fall asleep.

Motor skills would be my issue also. Peeps can't read my writing and it only get worse the more that I use a keyboard.

Yeah his edits are super enjoyable and still some great nuggets of info. If it makes ya feel any better, my handwriting is absolutely horrendous

The only time I ever felt bad about my writing was when I was getting graded on it. Fuck that shit and the teacher that accused me of cheating (seriously!?) when I took my time to not smudge the one time.

There's a beauty in booger welds.

No doubt, but that is not the first thought that jumps in folks' heads these days. There's an engrained (and ridiculous) fear, just like popping the hood and touching something.

I've been trying to work through that with my teenagers. They at least know to ask me before believing something stupid, but getting under something to figure it out? Nope. It kills me a bit every time.

exactly why a bit of ridicule may make them think twice and look for themselves

instead we baby them and ban the people who gave them stupid answer to a stupid question.

did the thread get deleted? I cant find it now

I totally see that side of it, but TW doesn't like that and it may not help OPs in the end? :notsure:

I have been wrong and done it myself, both the flaming and stupid questions. I don't mind getting some heat back.

Few posters are correct in saying engines are assembled in Alabama, Roll Tide. Really a hot bed for quality control (sarcasm). A fair amount of our Mercedes vehicles are assembled there. Awful quality control. Anyway Acura/Honda had a big issue with spark plugs coming loose on V6 engines. If left loose long enough it would ruin the engine cylinder wall as parts of spark plug would fall into cylinder. Saw some as early as 40K be loose to the point of melting coil boot.

No the engines I was talking about (Ford 4.6L and I believe some 5.4L) have the 3/4" reach solid plug. The heads have only 5 or 6 threads in them and they tend to get loose and completely blow out.

Fair enough, I forgot about the actual blowing out plugs, I've only had to deal with the second version with the two piece spark plugs at my dealer and not many of those, I would guess people dont bring us the first version since they are so old now they dont want pay our labor, which is fair enough.

So that's why they had "bad engines" before 100K. This is excellent knowledge as I have seen a few of these roll through my shop before.

Passenger plugs were in great shape, no drama here, no loose plugs, although threads were dry and chattered on the way out. Had an extra 20 mins after dinner so I knocked the passengers side out. Driver's side tomorrow along with a pad slap and maybe play with transmission fluid.

That’s super clean. Do you have a catch can? Because I don’t see oil particulates that would typically be on the threads of spark plugs
