Building a 2020 Tacoma on toyota.com, it looks like on the OR Access Cab models you can't get the technology package without also getting the premium package as well?

If so, that sucks. The premium package does not interest me, and is expensive.

Is that a thing, or maybe just all the Access Cab models with tech package only are sold out for the year, and that is reflected on what is available to select on the build and price?

Try entering different Zip Codes as Toyota's website is a little funky, only let's you build what is currently already available in your region.

It's based off the allocations in your region. Each region is different and orders different configs for allocation (why some regions don't have any LED optioned trucks, or certain colors, etc.), since it appears to not be a typical allocation for your region they'll have to do a special allocation request, which will take awhile but doable or you'll have to look out of state, etc.

What they said. I've recently been able to find a dealer to order one with just the options I wanted. Wasn't an access cab, but don't see why it should matter. I also wanted tech package, but not premium.

The build website works based on dealer inventory or built allocations in your zip code region.

If someone doesn’t have that truck on the lot or on the way to their lot, it won’t let you build it. You can “build” a DCLB SR5 but can’t pick Black if it isn’t already available for purchase locally.

It’s a sales tool not a customizable platform to pick your specific desired configuration.
