    All the mods
Had mine for the same length of time and they certainly aren't as smooth as they used to be. They hold the hood up but I have to raise it by hand.

ahh mine have a groan. Im not too worried though. Replacing them are way down on the list.

Oh and @crashdb i got the end to a lan cable and plugged it in, but im not sure about it. I also bought the rubber dust covers for the RJ45 plugs, but I dont like them, and am going to return. Here is what they look like:

Had to pick the skids up from UPS because they noticed the boxes were torn to all hell when they loaded the truck and wanted to delay delivery as they taped them. Turns out--lost some hardware! Thankfully, BAMF is coming through and the missing hardware is on the way. (Will do one final check before install, just in case lol.)

I am thinking about painting the BAMF logo (coming with the hardware) a separate color from the skids themselves. Is red too much? Is there a Rustoleum grey that gets close enough to cement?

I figured I could use the lan cable, and crimp a batter post end on it. Then at least I could hook it to something if i take it out. Im going to return the plugs for now.

    A thing or two...
My Redline struts have been on my truck for probably around a decade. When I pull the hood latch, it doesn't even pop up. I have to hit the top, center of the grill to get it to pop up to access the hood release. Then I have to raise the hood by hand about halfway before the struts will take over. They still hold up the hood just fine though.

@EatSleepTacos your suggestion re: the spray nozzle is probably the best, most helpful tip I've ever received on the internet.

Once you get a finger cramp you start looking for a better way. I have two of those things and I wouldn't give them up for anything.

Parked the truck on Sunday with the Dometic CFX75DX running. Fridge at 40 and freezer at 14 to see how long it would run off the dual batteries and solar. Was still running yesterday but not today. Good to know how many days I can boondock and still have ice cream. Had I not run the freezer it would probably still be running.

And the little bit of sun that passed over was enough to power it back up I guess.
