Alignment numbers

Whats everyone take on these numbers 2012 Tacoma Trd 285’s 2.0 Boss Alumi coils, jba uppers and new oem LCA’s

 

Looks pretty good to me, maybe a bit far apart on the caster amounts per side though. I'm assuming the higher amount of caster on the right is to keep the truck from pulling right. Mine pulls right a bit with the caster at 4.0 and 4.1 degrees (I have 305s on 2.5" lift so I need the extra caster to keep from hitting my already chopped cab mounts).

 

Personally I like caster even on both sides. I run 4* caster.

 

Thanks it does pull slightly to the right still but they told me they couldnt make it even bc one of my tabs is bent and they couldnt move it any further but thats what i get for having firestone do it

 

Oh ok, you should bend the tab back and have a welder run a bead on the backside to reinforce it. Then they can get your alignment to stay put.

 

Caster should be balanced, thats too great of a difference, 4 is a lot but helps with tire rub.

 

Thats my plan im gunna bend it back tomorrow and run a bead myself and have them fix it....

 

Yea i dont have any issues with tire rub have plenty of clearance thats why i was asking what other people thought about the numbers im not to familiar with how those numbers mean just have a basic idea

 

Yeah basically the more positive caster you have the farther forward your wheels are in the wheel wells. I believe stock is around 2 degrees, I have 4 so I don't rub even after doing a lot of cutting with an angle grinder, Dremel and sawzall lol

 

Doubt that. Sounds more like the cams are seized in the LCA bushings. An alignment shop bent one of my tabs too.

Cutting those out was a fun project.

 

Yeah that's a possibility too, I had to cut mine off when I bought my truck because it hadn't been aligned in so long that my cams were seized. Either way, if he doesn't bend the tab back and put a bead behind it it won't stay aligned for long even with new cam bolts.

 

Thats impossible the cams are not seized i replaced the cams bushing and LCA’s Friday.

 

Thats the plan today bending it back and welding it. The cams are not seized there brand new along with bew bushings

 

Oh snap! And they bent a tab after you replaced the hardware? Sounds like they didn't loosen the hardware enough.

 

Yea its quite possible I messed it up when installing them but who knows...

 

Yeah then you'll be good with just bending back the tab and welding it
