Try bikes that have similar geo and travel but only differ in wheel size. Only then you will be able to measure the differences. Oftentimes, we compare unlike bikes and the results lead us to logical conclusions. I think you may find the extra heft and loss of maneuverability in air and on the ground isn’t worth it for you or you may surprise yourself and like how the 29ers handle. A few years ago I would have never considered a 29er but now suspension and wheel technology have caught up at the same time that an evolution in bike geometry was happening. The good news is that the geometry evolution affected both 27.5's and 29er's.

The drive side worn through the paint to the carbon, maybe it was contacting Dave’s pedal or something when on the rack?

The non drive side looks like some yellow plastic wore off onto the bike, I may be able to get it off with some work. But I’m pretty sure that was from shuttling, did anyone have yellow flats?

I don’t recall yellow flats. Yours was on your rack on the back of your truck right?

The capabilities of Gravel Bikes amaze me. Roots suck, but you can literally go anywhere on these bikes and not worry about poppin tires, and they are almost just as efficient as road bikes.

Thought about that but it’s kinda rubbed off, not chipped like it be if it were from that.

I’m sure it has been discussed here, but what is the consensus on Oval chain rings? My curiosity has been peaked by them recently.

I like them. Not a game changer but it smoothes out the power.

Sucks how easy paint chips off the carbon. I felt like with my aluminum frames it only chipped scratched on big crashes.

Chris has yellow pedals. Maybe y’all’s yetis tried to mate.
    Sucks bro.
I run one and dig it. Not gonna say it’s night a day different, but I don’t plan to run another round ring if that tells you anything.

Yes, as did Johnson. But both their bikes got shuttled back up post Bennett.
