maybe turn the head around so that it is sucking air from behind instead of acting like a ram air on top? That would have possibly given the bag less to grab onto and prevented the incident from happening.

Maybe not. Just thinking out loud as I've seen several people with snorkels have the top piece on backwards.

chucking this event in the "fluke" bin... lol As for the the turning of the snorkel head, its designed to work the way I have it...I'll keep it like it is. I know this topic is a rabbit hole with everyone and their mom running it one way or another and swearing by it. Personally the snorkel looks hideous as it is... why make it worse lol

Thank you for sharing your mod. Really made the snorkel look finished. Plus I feel like it’s gonna keep crap and small little pebbles from getting in between the fender and snork

Any group deals coming up for a snorkel, I’ve got the quarantine itch, and there’s only one cure...

If they were in stock and not 6+ weeks out, I'd run a sale for sure!! But I don't like doing it when the stock isn't available right away.

Do you just wedge that trim in there and then tighten or is there some adhesive to it?

Ditch lights, front LED light bar, leather seat covers, bed tonneau cover.
You wedge it in place and it's held by friction alone. No need to disassemble and no adhesive, get a prying tool and wedge it between snorkel and fender of truck.

Lights work well. A few millimeters clearance with the hood up, and still plenty of side coverage for the lights. These are Amazon specials, getting ready to replace with real deal Rigids.

Right on, Thanks for the info.
I got the Rigid sideshooters and they're worth the money.

They're better than the China ones for sure. I heard caliraised is made in China, but don't know for sure

    Damn auto correct!
Honestly I thought they were all made in China.
Did you get the brackets from rigid as well?
