serious question though, y'all were on @honda50r's latch-it rack right? do you recall if they were strapped with the velcro and if they were spaced out at all? I believe you had 4 bikes on there to go back up, and myself and Jonathan kept our bikes with us.

I dont know, I didn't put them on. But my bike was only on there on the way back up to get my truck, I should have just left it at the bottom with yall, there was no reason to take it.

I'm just curious, because I know Alex said it was worth free all day, but could be a review item for anyone in here looking at the latch-it rack.

I do hate that happened to your bike man..

Well I thought the pad just a regular tailgate pad thrown over the Latch-It? But the Latch-It did have a bolt break off on Sunday Morning, so one side collapsed, hopefully Alex made it home without any bikes falling out.

oh I did not know about that! interesting..

I think the pad was built into the Latch-It, not a standard tailgate pad. So the bad scratching on your frame is under the downtube where it would sit on the pad? I was more referring to the pedals coming over against it, and if the forks weren't velcro strapped, if that had anything to do with one bike leaning over into the other.

No no, under the downtube is fine (I think, didnt really check it). The bad scratch is on the drive side, rear triangle. I guess it's possible it from when I took a tumble on Bennett, but it looks more like a repetitive abrasion than a single impact with a rock.

ok, so that rules out anything to do with the pad on the rack. still wondering if they were strapped or leaned over on each other.

That mark does not have the yellow markings similar to the other photo you shared, but I agree it looks more like repetitive abrasion.

Right, the yellow was on the non-drive side and is def from pedals, super weird that they would flake off onto my bike though.....

Chris painted his pedals. I remember him telling me that at camp, but I forgot until Jonathan reminded me about the yellow pedals lol

Yeah. Less than stoked about the bolt shearing but owner was very quickly about sending me upgraded replacements.
Bummer on the Yeti, definitely looks like something with repeated contact. I know the frustration all too well of carbon frames

Sorry to see that about your bike. I hope it does not affect structural integrity or safety in future rides.

It's fine, I took a spill on some rocks during PMBAR last year, 2 days after I got this frame. Bikes are made to be ridden.
