Are you talking about the State Parks or KOA?

Personally, my favorite spots are Manchester SP and then Russian Gulch SP. The State Park site says there's camping at Russian Gulch but not Manchester.

Are you talking about handheld ones? I have HAM unit setup in the truck and stays in the truck permanently and haven't had any issues YET.

I also run a mobile set up in my truck. I will give you the details after the weekend is over since I am leaving to go out of town.

I'm wondering if there's one that also handles HF?

    She ain't stock anymore.
The Yaesu FT-891 does 2m and HF, but I believe that you need a separate antenna for each. I might be way off on the antenna thing, but I'm not sure anyone makes a dualband 2m/HF antenna.

My bad! I got this one
    https://g.co/kgs/1ozmtY

I'm very happy with the setup. Works great. It has APRS that allows you to send text messages to cell phones without subscription. Let's say you go to a remote spot where there is no cell phone reception, you can use the radio to send text message to your loved ones if needed. Also, it has touch screen so you won't have to Fidel with radio knobs.
