$200 on Craigslist for Nerf Steps. If you don't like them or want to change them sell them for $200 to next guy.

Buying sliders or anything above $200 local seems like it is wasteful.

They bolt on and your truck has the hardware already.

If you don't own an impact gun and a set of metric sockets I suggest you buy Ridgid at Home depot and register the Lifetime service agreement.

    Don't over think this

Makes sense! Price point and functionality. I will prob not go the Craigslist route.

Do you have any recommended online sellers? Just trying to narrow my options. Leaning towards nerf bars!

I’ve got the OEM cast aluminum running boards on mine ... they work great! I paid just under $600 for them when I bought the truck.

Love the look. Are they functional? Do you know where I can find those for a similar price? Best I can find is, $615 shipped.

I researched this quite a bit as I was seeking the look of a slider combined with a step. I narrowed the search down to three:
    Havoc HS2 Black Hoop Steps
Barricade HD Drop Side Step Bars
Go Rhino Dominator D6 Running Board
I finally went with the Go Rhino https://www.gorhino.com/Dominator-D6
They look great and have performed well.

They look good. But what about rust protection?

They are steel and powder coated. I put them on in January so they haven't been installed long enough for me to share any long term results.

They are very functional ... totally prevents door dings from cars and are great for washing the roof and windshield. As far as deals go, My local Toyota dealership sold them to me supposedly “at cost” because I bought my new truck from them and they didn’t have in stock at the time. $615 seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Take a look at the OEM 2nd gen aluminum running boards. They fit the 3rd gen just fine and may be what you’re needing.

Good advice but the OP .....

    1. Wants to purchase new.
    2. Wants suggestions on who sells them for the cheapest.
    3. Seems ok with paying 3x to 5x for the same thing, waiting weeks for freight delivery and hoping they are not damaged in transit.

This is one of those parts where new vs. used or even take offs are indistinguishable from a looks and function perspective.

Why not go to the dealer and have them charge $200 to install them too?

I was thinking the same, I *think* they can still be bought new. Google sells them cheapest, or so I’ve heard. :). I just hit all the online Toyota dealers and see who’s selling the cheapest. Maybe try and get local dealer to get close to price if shipping is high.

One trick I learned for OEM parts is to use out of state online dealers who don't collect sales tax out of state.

Thanks! Went ahead and got the OEM Predator steps. Mostly because what I've read about about the functionality of the steps. They don't sit high and tight. Although rock sliders are bad ass, couldn't justify the price since I'm doing mostly city driving.

LOL LOL. Breathe. Super appreciative of your advice. But chill out dude. Like I said I got the OEM Predators. They are aluminum (won't rust), steps are low (functional), price is in my range. Shipped to my door steps with no hassle.

I got the bed step for driver's side. It makes getting up in the b d so much easier. I remember it was a ridiculous price like $300 for a step
