So I am running the 04B90 Super FOB Prem OL and have done the ADM.
What other cool things can I do with VF Tuner so far? I don't have an AGM battery or have a need for the alternator increase.

I don't know what I'd watch to change, I'm just curious what others are able to do so far. I would still like a 2Hi Locker mode but it's not a big deal. Also, I would love to be able to completely get rid of that weird fuel cut with how the engine braking is so odd in the manuals at low RPMs.

Wow! I can’t say I know what all of these do, but the amount of customization that software offers you is impressive!

Are you receiving an email back from "OVtune Zendesk Support"? I noticed sometimes I don't get an acknowledgment back from the system that it saw my email. I have a request in since late April and still no response despite a few attempts at contact. At this point I'd be happy with a "you're not following directions and I'm not going to help you" response just so I know to look elsewhere.

I will check on this and get back to you by those tickets as soon as possible.

Also, our software on the next update will have all necessary code certs / microsoft certs. Which means no more anti virus woes.

This is great news and will definitely make for a lot fewer install issues.

Thank you! Most recent zendesk ticket #17043.

I'm so excited about torque converter controls and my own shift points. I can't wait to start playing with those.

And one of the million dollar questions.... is it possible with these tables to have the transmission stay in the current gear when S is selected?

You should be able to lock it in gear with the gear lock feature. In the last 2.0 beta it was a feature with ECT and worked very well. Truck would not shift on me when i tested it on the highway unless I told it to using S +/-.

Is the gear lock feature something that's primarily used for towing to keep the truck from upshifting? I can't think of why you'd want to lock a gear for any other reason...

From my understanding yes its geared more towards those that tow. It keeps the truck from up or down shifting. I personally could see some benefit even not towing on long road trips since my truck still seems to shift a decent amount between 4/5/6 on the highway(much less than stock and almost never 3rd like it did before the tune). Or maybe I just need to learn to slow down and also re gear someday... My truck does not like 75-80mph speed limits and will typically just sit in 4th gear to maintain speed.

I have the same complaint about the truck. Why it's geared to go 120mph causing it to struggle around 75 is beyond me. My truck is mainly stock too, I can't imagine how bad it must be with a lift/bigger tires. Even after the tune, I still plan on re-gearing to 4.88.

I should have been more clear. Gearlock works fine when I have been tuned for it. What many of us have asked for is when at highway speeds and you drop into S, it puts you into 4th unless you’re really motoring, in which case it *might* put you in 5th. We’re hoping that when you switch over to S mode, it’ll start in the ‘now current’ gear.

Quite a few of us use gl a lot because you can decide when you want your truck to shift and not be dependent on the AT shift points. I like to run higher rpms than the AT wants to.
