I have a SOS streamline and pretty much this set up on my 2013 DCLB only with the bilstein 650 coils. Without my front skid trio I have about 2.25 inch lift. With my skid plates on i go down to about 2. I wouod start with the 4th notch like you do now and then move uo a notch if you want more height. Your height will also depend on upon adding weight like the skid plates or a winch. Take you measurements first before the lift goes on, front the center of the hub going straight uo to the fender. Then after you get the lift on, and aligned, then wait about a week for it to settle and take measurements again. Keep both measurements for reference for the future regarding adding anymore weight to your truck.

Just hoping for it to be close to 2.5 in the front. I have the winch installed already but not sure if I’ll be adding more weight down the road. Got the measure too already. If my calculations are close the rear of the truck will be slightly higher which is fine because I’ll occasionally have a RTT on top of my topper. Thanks for the information:cheers:

Do you have the medium or heavy dakars?

I went with the medium. I figured the heavy would give me too much lift. Was told I could get the AAL if needed. Other than the topper I usually don’t have weight in the back.

Keep in mind that I don't have a winch yet but I do have a DCLB which is heavier and a full skid plate trio. 2.5 is fine just watch your pinion angles on your front axles. Like I said, you might want to start out with the 4th notch and then move up if you want to after it settles.

Going in on fourth clipping. Did you have an vibration issues or anything you had to attend to after installation? Did you adjust to the fifth?

No vibes but I have the DCLB has has a less aggressive driveshaft angle and I put in the ecgs bushing in front. I am unsure I will be moving up to the 5th clip yet. I am going to see where I am first after I get my CMC done and add 285's

Cool deal. The guy who is doing my install just suggested me buying the ECGS bushings while he had everything apart so I’m definitely doing that too. I have the long bed too so hopefully same results.

How much of a lift did this give you? Any pics before the lift.

Taking off the sway bar doesn't provide lift but it does provide more articulation of the tire offroading. I have mine off for the past 3 years without a problem. You do need to be wary of your speed because a sway bar is their for a reason. As long as you are not a speed demon, and are aware of high speed turns, you will be fine.

I am very interested in the outcome! I also have a 2015 DCLB, though no armor. I have a set of Dakar medium leaf packs also but plan on B110's instead of the 5160's.

The B110's will be a little long if you are only going to do the medium dakars, you might bottom out the strut. I have a 2013 dclb with heavy dakars and I have the 5160's but I have some weight. If you are trying to stay within a budget, instead of the 5160's, you can get the 5100's or the OME 60091 that are made for the dakars. The 5160'2 do compliment the 6112's very well though.

You should get that with the mediums. I have a Leer cap (with TRAC RACK and safari basket) that has always been on and I generally carry about 200lbs at all times in the bed. Without any weight and just my cap, I am about at 3 inches in the rear. The reason why I moved up is because I was starting to sag a little carrying more weight around. Our DCLB's are a little more forgiving with the vibe issue that the DCSB's generally have.

I totally understand what you're saying. I am wanting the extra down travel mostly. After a good bit of reading I found that some have used GM progressive bump stops as they are a long progressive bump stop and most were able to use it without any additional extension. I actually like the idea of having less up travel since I don't really load the truck down heavily very often and having the higher bump stop it will keep me off obstacles better than having a shock that has more up travel. So in my head(which isn't always right, haha) having longer extension will keep the tire on the ground and give more traction and having the shorter up travel will keep the truck off stuff that wants to poke it and damage it.

Just from experience, you wouldn't want to limit uptravel purposely. I was running superbumps out back. Much taller than stock. Was bottoming out on every dip in the road. Only reason to limit up travel would be to protect a shock from bottoming out.

You want as much tuck as possible. It will help keep the tires on the ground. Limiting up travel will limit your flex. :muscleflexing:

Bilstein 5125 have more downtravel and overall travel than a 5160. That's what I run.

Did you swap back to stock bumps? I was considering Superbumps with my Ubolt flip.

Yes back to stock. Most people have zero issues with superbumps. As soon as I returned to stock, no more harsh bottom out on dips and offroad.

Modified stock bump on a flip plate:
