Before the 3rd Gen Tacoma

Hey all you lunatics. I know there’s similar threads already. What did you drive before you got your Terd Gen Tacoma’s. It seems like a lot of you had some type of enthusiast car/truck with options to mod, hence wanting a Tacoma (definitely an enthusiast vehicle). I’ll start, I had a 2013 VW GTI with some minor stuff done and then a 2016 Audi A3.

I loved this car.

 

Can you add Mazda to the list of crap boxes? lol I got a picture of this thing pretty buried on my phone somewhere

Edit: Found em! Me beating the car at willow springs. To think...someone bought this thing for 18k with 80k miles on it after I parted it out and sold it to carmax...poor guy

Thanks! Seems like we've had similar taste in cars haha. I was real bummed because this was my last track day before I got the call I was moving to Colorado. Had this thing DIALED IN too...I even sat in a bucket seat for 3 hours getting corner balanced and everything...

More so for rock chips and flying rubber. People like to drop wheels into certain corners on that track and if you're behind them they're like little missiles coming for you lol

 

Oh yeah, they're great little hatches. Anything FI actually nets you noticeable power gains with a tune and stuff. Plus they're way easier to park than the truck lol

 

Starting to have second thoughts? Lmao. If I had the money, I’d definitely try and get another small car like that. Always had big dreams for it, but not the time.

Let's not get started. This damn truck is enough of a money suck as is! I eventually do want a fun little car again though, just the tacoma was more practical and better suited for my hobbies now in CO. Plus I don't really miss the MS3 community. Just a lot of dick swinging and whatnot. The tacoma community seems to be way more laid back. Maybe a little track miata? Then I could tow it with the taco and have the POS, stripped out, track machine I've always wanted!

I hear that. The VW forums were shitty too. Bunch a hooligans. People here are way cooler and the Tacoma is more practical for sure. I was taking trips back and forth to PA, on some crazy roads and between that and camping, the Tacoma was the perfect answer.
