it's not right at the face of the deflector( same principle as a bug deflector on your hood ). I'd probably be more apt to extend the deflector up higher anyways.

    Just the basics
REI is having a holiday sale...one thing of interest to wedge owners might be the Yakima wind deflector. I still use mine even though I don't have the FWC anymore. It does make a difference with my current setup.

on those short racks... the wind deflection is a huge part of it...

you can put a road shower up there easily...

Since it’s rack talk I finally sat down and finish the design on my recovery equipment toolbox.

need to weld, mount hinge, latch and make some brackets

Perfect. Aero with the wedge but practical in storing straps, etc.
    Hoping to make something similar!

Dude- I have been looking for something like this- I have a Victory rack and the best I have found so far is made by Alu-Cab and is 800 bucks.

that’s why I looked into building one. No one offers one on the market right now. The one I drew up fits a set of 4 maxtrax mkii with some room to spare for other stuff.

I wouldn’t pay 800 for the alu-cab one. Mines cost much less because diy. I think it is to high of a profile. It has a ton of space but ends up not being much for a flaring.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Signing on. Bought a wedge from another TW member 1935 miles away from me.
    It’s on its way home!
Previous owner was straight up one of the coolest cats I have had the pleasure to do a transaction with.
