I wish it was drugs. Would probably be cheaper. These were $5/piece and you have to order 10-20 at a time even if you just want to try them lol. Gonna give some away tomorrow. 1/2lb cookies. An IFBB Pro bodybuilder and his wife are the ones that came up with the hustle.

Doing volume deload on bench today. 4x6...

I am trying to keep my ass down and focus on "popping" the weight up with legs without coming off the bench. Did some tweaks so powerlifting guys let me know how this looks

On the heavy rep last week I had my ass up the entirety of the rep and lost tension in my back and pulled something. This heels slightly up and "leg pop" feels much more comfortable and I can keep tight better.

Unrelated but returning to Virginia and this summertime humidity is making me experience it whether I like it or not.. So far the benefits have included sweating a lot.

A side view would be easier to critique.

What do you mean by popping?

Is your upper back in a good position?

I don't think your feet are far back enough. You want leg drive but you want to drive your butt into the pad, not off of it. Moving your legs back further may help.

ETA: I think I know what you mean by popping now. It's discussed towards the end of this video - which is a great explanation.

I thought this looked better. I might cue trying to tilt your pelvis back; not necessarily to arch huge, but the cue should keep you planted and tight. Leg drive is more about tightness than pushing the hips up...once you get used to it you should see some improvement in strength too

This is about all the arch I have, and as far back as my feet go without feeling too unstable. What do mean by title my pelvis back exactly?

Popping like the initial push to get the weight back up. I will do a side view the next bench day.

I can't get my legs back much further without feeling unstable. My upper back is perfect but I don't get a lot of arch like most smaller guys do.

think about lying on the bench and then sliding down your torso a bit without moving where your butt is. Not the way the huge arch PL do it as you don’t have the mobility for that, but the cue is the same. Slight tilt and tension in the hips and quads.

I see. I kind of do that on my lift off a little. When I lift off I get the weight on my upper back then arch and tilt my butt in and set it down.

As much as it is a recipe for disaster, getting a lift off helps too as you are not reaching back to unrack it...this often takes you out of being tight too. Of course, I saw tweedle dee and tweedle dumbshit in you last video so you may be SOL.

Back before i stretched bands when i lifted actual heavyish things, I would get my wife to spot me...the argument being that beyond injury, she'd never have to lift more than about 25lbs and having a good spotter is better than having a strong stupid spotter....it was always awesome seeing the staff/skinny bros look on in horror as she stepped behind on the spot. I never did fewer than 6 reps though...

I know... I need a good spotter but these guys here suck lmao plus I go at a time where they are the only ones here. I need to just hire someone to come in and spot on bench days haha

She's at work when I go. Honestly I'd trust her more than any dude here. She would actually listen and pay attention to what I say lol

When I was a teen I went to this hardcore PL/BB gym for a bit. Intimidating as shit, but a great place to learn if you paid attention. Lots of funny stories, but I remember this one guy was a huge barrel chested PL who asked me to spot him doing 585lbs. I told him, I can't help you if you get stuck...lol...most nerve wracking set of my life. He told me what he wanted from me (basically nothing) and then he crushed that shit for a triple.

Yeah man...after some random 'trainer' almost killed me on Incline bench, I have never had a stranger spot me again. I thought I was going to be decapitated...at least your lady has a somewhat vested interest in your survival. TIP...don't get life insurance.
