I was going to gap the plugs with the gapping tool. Then check for accuracy with the feeler gauge.

The gapping tool I have doesn't have all the measurements I need.

Running valves is a lost art anymore, a lot of “mechanics” have no idea how
Even the shim over/under bucket need to be checked, not that I’ve done mine....
Having the right tools helps the process

I live in a townhouse with no garage, but recently got a shed to store what few tools I have. I'm excited to have room to store more and expand my collection as I learn more!

Just wanted to share this little gem. As you can tell by the background of the picture, I have a lot of adhesives and or threadlockers and whatnot. I found out about B700 from a YouTuber that casually mentioned it but it’s worth sharing this info. B700 is the bastard child between rubber cement and crazy glue. Excellent adhesion while remaining a little flexible and gummy. The tube itself and dispensing tip keeps the product sealed and provides a super long shelf life. The cap has a needle built in about 3/4” long that makes sure the glue doesn’t dry in the tip. I k ow this sounds like an infomercial, but if you don’t know about it, order some. It’s pretty awesome. I’m sure it’s handy for crafters so your SO might borrow it but I keep it in the toolbox too. Oh, and the piss poor English translation (Chinese product) is always good for a laugh.

How much does it weigh? I have the bigger one and it does the trick but it gets really heavy after a long day.

They’re all heavy, cordless is great for some reasons but weight isn’t one of them, compared to an Air Cat or similar pneumatic.

If I was doing it all day I don’t see a benefit to cordless 1/2” or bigger impacts.

#1 not dragging a hose around with you.

I see more and more on car shows they are using cordless impacts for their work.

Shows are sponsored, so makes sense.

The hose thing is the only benefit of cordless and that’s minor. Pneumatic for $150 that is smaller, weighs significantly less, runs all day long with consistent power and a lot of it makes a lot more sense than $500+ in a cordless setup that is the opposite of all those things but saves you from pulling an air hose.

Working on stuff all day long that requires an impact is probably 100x more laborious than moving an air hose every so often.

It weighs around 8lbs with a 5ah battery in it. Which bigger one do you have? This is the full size 1/2" drive compared to my 3/8" drive sub compact

Also I don't use it for work. This is just a home garage tool so weight really isn't a big deal for me. I have an air setup and its not the greatest. So I just got the cordless since I already have all the batteries.

I guess mine is the older LXT model (brushed). Looks a lot bigger. I use mine at home as well so the weight isn’t as much of a pain but after a long day it does get tiresome.

cheap but reasonably powerful for a 3/8", fits in tool bag and allows me to do things faster, walking thru various plants and businesses to do a repair gets cumbersome, and tiring.
Ive also got a 1/2", it won't do lug nuts on the stuff I work on, but then again, I've got air and it'll be near the van when I have to do that.
