    Hello everyone,
I'm an owner of a second generation Toyota Tacoma (2009). Last winter I used my winter tires, so I removed my original alloy wheel with tpms. Unfortunately, my original tires were stolen by a good people. This spring I found a third generation 2017 (oem} alloy wheels with tpms on market place. I bought an Autel Maxitpms 508 tool to avoid paying dealer to program the sensors to the ecu or to the brain of my truck. It says it was a success, but the TPMS light is still on. I get hold of Autel support, but the replies are very slow and, i am getting anxious.
I am just wandering if there's any member have similar problem like mine.

I remember reading once that the third gen TPMS are not compatible with second gens as they operate on a different frequency.

yeah OP I think ImMrCrash is correct. I have a 2nd gen and everything I've read says that 3rd gen sensors won't work. The 3rd gen supposedly let's you know actual individual tire pressures and the 2nd sensors just weather or not the tire is low.

You can find them on eBay for cheap, the part number for 05-15 Tacomas is the same as several other Toyota vehicles

Yes I'll do that, but I still have to see tire shop to replace sensors.
