    I just got an InReach mini for $350 today that’ll text from anywhere on the planet. Granted a monthly subscription is needed but it’s super reliable.
    Plus if you hit the SOS button 911/SAR is activated.
    I figure I do enough solo dumb stuff often enough I should have this.
