if I ever make drug dealer money I want a mini gun that fires silicone breast implants at low velocities

it would be great for crowd control

Army NCOs are just glorified babysitters (at least they were in 2012 when I got out). We had saf from two guys in a herd of sheep, I saw them pop up with aks, take a couple shots and then drop back down. We were told multiple times that we couldn't engage unless they were actively firing.
Unfortunately for the army side of our leadership group, we had some Marines in an 88 with us. Called them up on the radio and gave them the location. They came ripping up the side, confirmed where they were, then started sweeping the herd with their 50. Them guys never got back up to shoot at us again....

If I'm close enough I can set them on fire. If I run out I can slip away in the smoke screen.

Depends on the unit. That’s what I was talking about earlier. It’s also one of the reasons I made a point to stay with IN BDEs rather then EN BDEs. Not all combat arms MOS’s understand combat the same and it seems like for my MOS (12B/Z), the heavy mech and EN BDEs tend to have EN BNs that lean more towards passive combat. Case in point, both us (3-2 SBCT) and 555 were in the same sector. Both out of Lewis, both doing clearance missions under the same theater command. Only difference was BDE and below command, also they were in MRAPs. We were empowered to do our job and fire back when needed just like common sense would dictate. 555 wasn’t. They became a very well known soft target in the AO and were engaged with small arms fire way more then us. IEDs were pretty equal opportunity but dudes actually having balls enough to shoot at us and sustain that desire was far lower.
