1st Gen Spare Tire Mounts...Let's See Them!

It’s a 33 10.50 r15.
Small modification: I used an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and trimmed the ends of the factory spare tire supports. Filed down rough edges. So they no longer have an “L” or 90 degree bend at the end so it clears a 33” spare.
Note: when lowering and raising the 33” spare on the cable system I must pay attention to the brake lines/cable around the rear diff and swing the tire a bit to make sure it doesn’t snag there.

Prerunner style looks bitchin' for sure, wouldn't have worked for me though had I found one anyway.

 

I mean the bastards could of gave me $5 dollars or something.

 

2 33" spares laying down, held down by ratchet strap i got from a truck driver. I traced 1 tire to cut a hole in the bed then bent up some 1 3/4" tube to support it

Recycled an old lumber rack and some scrap tubing for this one.

 

Mine is a cut down Wilco from a F150. Made new mounts and she works like a charm.

 

Went with the RIGd UltraSwing. Easy to install and fits multiple vehicles.

 

Anymore pics of the GFC and truck? Is that OEM paint?
