I think he did it for Bookers, if I remember right? I’ve always wanted to try it, so I had to pick up a bottle for the price I saw it for

I built a Power BI dashboard that visualized folks' reviews on the different batches for the Booker's Night that I host. On my phone now, but I'll find the posts if I think of it. I don't mind having an open spreadsheet for this community that would drive a PBI platform that we could all interact with. We just need to decide on the parameters that would be required for a submission.

Curious to know when you open it if you feel it was worth the hassle or if Blanton's is just hyped up

Some Whistle Pig 10yr going down neat and smooth tonight.

Good relaxing day. Tacos, installed a new outdoor ceiling fan that I’m enjoying on this humid Alabama night.

Finally, finally found one. I’ve been looking in my area for a bit with no luck. Wife and I got out and about so we stopped in a store we’d never seen and got lucky. They had a decent selection overall but I was certainly happy to finally snag this up. Sipped on it just a little tonight and really enjoyed it. I love the 10yr and this just seemed that much more elevated. Smoother, richer, a little less peat and smoke(only a little less). While the 10yr seems to be a little more fresh and crisp, this is smooth and mellow. Very glad I grabbed this today.

I’ve had it before, it’s definitely hyped up lol. I like it, but I can find Eagle Rare much easier (and cheaper) and to me it’s just as good. I just always wanted a bottle on my bar

Tried 1792 this weekend, because it was recommended by the liquor store owner. Have to say I find it over rated.

My buddy placed an order for a case of this Early Times BiB since it appears to be allocated & tough to get here in SoCal. Came out to $33 per bottle after shipping. Haven't cracked the seal yet, still working on my $23 bottles of Old Forester Single Barrell

First off, if this is against TW rules, please let me know and I will delete this post.

Question for you all who do trades. Looking for your thoughts. I have a friend (not here on TW) that found out that I have a single barrel select bottle of OWA. I have never seen one before (and probably won't again) and kind of wanted to hold onto it. But he is offering me a Buffalo Trace single barrel store pick and an Eagle Rare single barrel store pick in trade. I really like Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace and don't usually get the chance for single barrel store picks here in Ohio.

So, What are your thoughts? Should I do the trade or sit on what I have?

Thanks in advance for the advice

Definitely going to be a subjective answer based off of what is available locally to me - but, I can get Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace SiB Store Picks locally, somewhat often. I just picked up one of each within the last few weeks actually. I can't seem to get OWA though, or any Old Weller at that - store pick or not. So for me, I'd be keeping the OWA.

I see regular Eagle Rare about once every 3 months so, same with regular Buffalo Trace. But, Weller SR and OWA, I can get almost every other week. Distribution is so weird...

I liked it. It was definitely unique, as I can’t remember ever tasting anything like it. My buddy liked it a lot, so I filled a flask for him to take home.
