I got a stone chip right to the bare metal a few months ago. Estimate to paint 2/3 top of the tail gate is $300. OCD won't let me just touch up. Wife agrees though. She keeps on me about when is it going to be fixed.

The body shop is going to need to blend that in on the whole tailgate. If they only did 2/3 it will not look right. I wouldn't use a shop that doesn't blend.

I talked to the painter and going to use the fold above the lettering as the mask off point and then buff the edge.

@MESO mods today. Wish vent rings would’ve made it today but they’ll be here Monday so it gives me something to do next weekend.

Interior Chrome Delete and Climate Control Rings. The install videos are on point.

Got my Taco used and the previous owner put a nice sound system on but left the aftermarket mic on the pillar and was killing me. Thanks to someone that posted here got the push I needed to finish routing the mic to the OEM spot. Worked out great. Also changed all interior and license plate bulbs to LED.

    upload_2020-6-27_14-53-10.jpg

Drilled a hole and pressure fitted the socket of the AM mic so it stays in place and doesn’t rattle. Had to take out the OEM mic.

For MY personal tastes, Blazing Blue + long bed + copper wheels = the trifecta of FAIL.

Somehow you pulled it off and that thing looks freakin GREAT. Nice one!

I used the touch up brush - paint the first day, clear coat the next. I just dabbed it into the scratch. May want to do it twice to build it up a bit. Never tried the spray.

I’ll catch up to this thread soon but I wanted to add to it.

I swapped out my stock Offroad wheels for 2020 Tacoma pro wheels.

just need to give it a good wash today or tomorrow.

Haven’t gotten around to posting on here yet but my stock offroad wheels are going up for sale with stock offroad Kevlar tires with about 5k on them. TPMS Included.

I swapped my stock wheels for some 4Runner trail wheels and ditched the stock Firestones for some 265/70R17 Toyo Open Country AT3's. Here's the before and after:

Installed BAMF Molle panel today. Now I have to decide what to put on it. I’m thinking a fire extinguisher and two medical pouches, one for people, the other for dogs 36379521-7AF8-4469-B6BE-786F41F410AA.jpg 1753C8B0-BFC4-4984-9FB8-D3C1DE919C40.jpg

wonder if he has any kind of clear overlay material that would stick to the inner panel door handle areas to protect against fingernail scratches, or does anybody know of anything that would? i've heard that the clear overlay stuff like cupeez won't stick to the door panels because of the textured finish. i've done a bunch of googling and haven't found anything that'll work...

Saw a rust spot on my girlfriend's CR-V. Been watching youtube videos (Chris Fix) today. I would recommend try to repair it yourself. If you mess up, then you're going to end up paying a body shop anyways. Might as well make it worth it. Haha.
