So far what I've heard is telsa is either shit or super. Never had one, never ridden in one, and don't want to. Not because electric or the brand. I have an extreme dislike to massive distraction displays controlling everything. It's just asking for trouble. As if people didn't have enough problems looking at their phones, now you have to go through 8 submenus to get to what you want.

First vehicle where I couldn't find the 4 way flasher button. I was like WTF, I thought the button had to be reasonably visible and definitely not some touch screen button. I finally found it on the headliner between the map lights, it was real button, but why put it there?

JD is just the SkyTrax of the auto indistry.

I like how you say that. I have a Model S and I can't stand Elon Musk and think Tesla's are way over priced for what you get. But when you get in a Tesla and hit the accelerator, you can't help but love it. Immediate, consistent power with no transmission. Also with the rear seats folded down, I have 6 feet horizontally of storage space. Which is actually longer than the 5 feet I have in the bed of my Tacoma.

Absolutely. As far as fun goes, it's a hard beat. And that's pretty crazy on the amount of storage. Makes me miss my wagon. rear seats folded and you sleep 2 very comfortably. with plenty of headroom.

Tesla has had quality issues for years. and to this day. I always notice the trunks are never put on correctly. There is always a weird gap.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
I have one KIA with over 100,000 miles and another with about 15,000.
Zero problems with either of them.

Their build quality is absolute garbage.
Huge gaps, panels that don’t fit, using shims like it was the 80’s.
They are still a tech company that’s trying to build cars, and not an auto manufacturer. they churn thru anyone that comes in from another car company very quickly, because they learn what a dumpster fire it is and GTFO quick.

And god forbid you ever get into an accident in one. You won’t see your car for months because they have ridiculous Issues with parts procurement.

I have to remind myself of this every time I want to buy one.

Little bit of BS combined with the demographic of buyers. The repos. Young people with families, and or college students who are likely to miss payments due to other expenses. The totaleds, young distracted drivers crashing, and it don't take much to total a Kia.

I'd be interested to see the actual stats from lenders and insurance companies.

Seems probable if Kia wins initial quality awards, and they aren't on the road or are no longer in the possession of the people who gave the original rating.

Ever go to a salvage yard or a pick a part or you pull? You can tell alot from what cars are complete, and what cars are stripped clean. The complete cars go to the scrap department complete due to no one buying parts off them because they are worthless. The cars that are stripped are because people want to keep them going.

Hey at least they are honest about Tesla. You know how hard it is to find a charging station? Those electric cars don’t mean anything when you can’t charge them. Corporate donkeys.
