    If the decal is sunbaked/cracked up and too difficult to pick at, look into a rubber stripping wheel drill attachment, I’d suggest using a corded drill

    I was looking at some of those on fleaBay and Amazon. Haven’t spent enough time yet to know. I was gonna try a plastic scraper next.

    Hey everyone,

    Hate to be that guy to get everyone sighing about a question that undoubtedly will be frustrating but I was hoping someone had some information about stock ride height?

    I have a 1999 2.7L 4x4 SR5 extracab 2 door and I have been reading what feels like days and I can seem to find the factory height for this thing! I have a new set of 6112's and have a manual to adjust them. The new leaf springs I have will lift the rear end 1.5" after they settle. I want to make sure that I do not over lift the front end of my truck if i shoot for a little rake. I have my own spring compressor tool so I can definitely take the coil overs on and off to finesse them to my liking, but I need to know the stock height to serve as my control point of measurement.

    I had to dig in my notes for this one. My uncle has a '98 extended cab 4x4 Limited. When I did my initial 5100/OME lift back in 2011 I had some top spacers and needed to know where it was and what I needed. So, these are off of his 1998 in 2011 and he had recently put on some new parts house stock struts and shocks.

    **Measured fender to center of hub**

    Front Driver - 29"
    Front Pass - 29"
    Rear Driver - 28.5
    Rear Pass - 29"

    What grill options do i have? My front end is so...dated but doesnt appear classic IMO. Headlights original too.
    Love the tire white lettering, does Mickey Thompson tires come like that? Debated on painting my Falken WP a few times..

    How can i refresh my front end without updating to a 2001-2004? I've searched, but can't make my mind up. New OEM grill and headlights? Maybe add a light-bar down in the bumper to fill the small gap? I'm a big OEM fan who likes a little extra flair, minimal aftermarket. Its a 2000, don't want to look like i'm trying too hard but it looks hella dated lol.

    Nice truck Matt. I have an appreciation for the stock look... especially on a 20 year old truck. Ironically, I just went back to the OEM bumper from a plate bumper this evening. One option is to paint your front bumper silver(which was a factory option). Another option would be to refresh the bumper and paint the inserts silver.     As said above, general refresh of the plastics and whatnot would make it look good, color matching or de-chroming would also change things up. Adding fender flares would make the front end look different as well! Super clean truck though!

    I kept the original grill and lights, but swapped to the newer 01-04 bumper and turn signals. Then added the LED bar and put new headlights on it. The bumper isn't exactly a direct swap, but wasn't too hard to get on.

    Painting the grill and bumper will really help you there pull the front back and make the truck look a lot better. before and after on mine:

    Get retrofits, can be done easily if only the plastic were smooth

    on the inside try one of those headlight restoration deals and just keep sanding till it is i guess

    Plenty of sanding and flat black (primer and paint) on both, lots of layers so it wont get rock chips.

    Ace hardware had it i believe it was their rustoleum brand
