What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

if it wasn't a week long interstate trip I'd wouldn't be as worried to just to it after I got back.

 

Installed a power connector in the side of the bed. It is sold on Amazon as a solar connector but will work for my needs. I chose it for 3 reasons. 1: I could encapsulate the entire back of it since it would be mounted in the inner rear fender well. 2: the mating connector has an o ring, so it is waterproof. 3: the mating connector has a locking feature when plugged in to it. This is important since it will be powering my cpap machine when I camp in my rtt.

 

No brackets. Just spacers and hardware from Lowe’s

 

Well not so much my truck but installed one of the scratch and dent Tacoma Tailgate locks on a lady's 2005 that had just got her tailgate stolen prior to moving stuff out of her father's house after passing. Cost her $500 to replace and they gave her a beater from someone else's truck from the looks of it. They are supply on demand and it is about the fifth time this month that some called me after.

Finished the Dome light mod (map lights sync'd with dome light). It will really light up the cab at night. Instructions can be found here on TW.

 

Started my own business recently. Did my first house clean out today! It was hard work but it’ll all be worth it when I’m working for myself full time.

Had a fabricator friend do the cmc today. And hammered the pinch weld.

We tried at various flex in his backyard on some random stumps and ditches and stuff, and i couldn’t make the fronts rub at all.
Really happy with the fit of these 285s now.

BAMF made some awesome plates and shipped them out super fast. If you’re thinking about doing this, hut that guy up for some quality plates.

What lift and tires are you running?

 

Fucked around and got nice and stuck today. Went in the wrong way and really dug myself in. I'm excited to say and a bit ashamed to say that this was my first time wheelin. Ever.

I've been building this truck for about 3 months now and finally took her out for the first time today and had an awesome time getting super muddy and climbing everything. This was the only time I got stuck and the first hole I went into. Good times.

Ohhh man. Sooooo much fun! Can't wait to get my bumper and skids and hit some heavier trails in August. The wait for all of my BAMF stuff (plate bumper, full skids, gas tank skid, LCA skids) should pay off by mid July! Gonna get rocky and break some shit.
