@dwillhere1 - I am going to try the parking pull up three times trigger but I did find a 'triple pulse' parking bypass. Curious is anyone has tried this one - https://www.avicfix.com/pioneer-parking-brake-bypass-avh/ OR this one off eBay that is also triple pulse - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Brake-BYPA...0NEX-DMH-WT8600NEX-DMH-W4660NEX-/254476589430. The eBay one says its specific for the NEW NEX models and only describes those ones. Anyone used this yet?

Do you have a meter? I’d remove the harness and check continuity end to end to see if there’s a break.

So that’s where the damn blue antenna wire goes! I’ve been going nuts wondering why I didn’t have a corresponding blue wire on the pioneer harness! I was thinking that mine was just missing it. Thanks!!

I do - I checked the data cable first, but Im dreading finding all the leads at this point w/ the meter... We'll see - that's the logic next step, isn't it.

Im worried Im actually just missing wires in the harness, as I've noticed that lots of the connectors are blank (assuming this is just to encorporate as many toyota models as possible - but Im suspicious!

Thanks again for your reply. Time to sit in my truck and check cables (sigh... I thought I was going to have a saturday - so far Ive been under two cars fixing sh*t)

@cameleon50 I contacted the seller of this exact eBay cable. He said (these new units are tricky) so basically no. Lol. I told him he needed to change his description if it didn’t work and he never replied again. Lol

Yeah might be worth ordering a new maestro T02 The complete wiring kit. I forgot they were a separate purchase. This is the stereo that was bought and returned before you purchased it correct? May need a new stereo replacement? I don’t see 2 maestro shaving the exact same issue? I know. Pain in the ass! I’m sorry. This is totally my kind of luck!

Hey, no this is a brand new unit - The Maestro isn't the problem, as Ive tried two of them. It's either 1 of 3 things at this point:

    - Bad harness
    - Somethings wrong with the factory wiring to the tacoma - (I did replug in the factory head unit, worked fine)
    - Somethings wrong w/ the stereo - which I doubt because it works fine (sans back up camera) w/o the Maestro data cable installed.

I'm hoping on hope that it's the harness :-D

I was going to ask what it did without the maestro cable to the stereo? You did try it and just camera and steering wheel controls did not work? This is the rr correct?

No camera, no steering wheel controls, double blinking light on RR - head unit worked fine sans camera.

I’m going to put a picture of the page setup on idatalink maestro. Under stereo it asks (All Types). You are selecting Idatalink serial connector, and also to the left under (products) you are selecting Maestro rr?

Darn! Why would this guy create a listing specifically for our radios then state that it doesnt work. No biggie but I also emailed him to verify. He really should remove his listing -

Yeah he said it will bypass the brake. Lol. But not bypass the video. Maybe we should all file a dispute with eBay that his product does not do as advertised. Yea he never responded again after I told him to change the description. Lol

Do anybody know what the yellow with black stripe, Foot Brake, wire taps into on the Main Harness side?

haha, this is why I was so confused - it's automatically selecting iDatalink serial connector for me when I flash the unit.

I actually went and tried your exact setup, just out of curiosity - double red light! I'm really unsure what else to try, other than a new harness (Which gets here in 4 days)
