    I have a long time friend that has a small sluicing rig that he runs on streams up in northern Michigan...its basically something to do while he is camping w his son. I think in 15 summers of doing it he has accrued maybe 3-4 CCs of gold flakes.

    There was some mining in the upper penninsula. I think in the mitten just some of the rivers and streams have small amounts. I trout and salmon fish in some of those rivers,and I have seen people panning or feeding a mini sluice box on more than one occasion. I dont believe anyone is getting wealthy...just something to do.

    Holy wow! good luck! Everything good here. Workin today, but it's gonna get hot. Mid 90's from what I heard. Should be cooler tomorrow if the reports are correct, but then right back to heat. Wanna take my pops for his birthday out so we can shoot some targets, but if it's hotter than when I went last, may have wait
