New Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX flush mount install

Correct, it's auto-finding the unit when I plug it in. it only gives me one firmware option for that unit

 

Did you tap your "Mute" to anything or did you just left it a lone?

 

I just left it alone, no clue if that's correct.

 

I was reading on reddit that you do the parking brake bypass and use a switch for the gps wire to disconnect

 

Damn man, I was hoping you had it figured out.

 

Ok. On the radio yellow/black is mute. On the maestro, yellow/black is foot brake. So I did not connect either of these wires. If you press mute or hold down volume- it will mute. The wire on the pioneer for mute would have to be tied into a (mute signal) coming from the truck. The maestro does not provide a mute signal separately. Unless (foot brake) is mute? I did not connect these. Did not care. Hope this helps

 

people have it working for 15min with the brake bypass than recalibrate the gps. After 15min it shuts off tho

 

So which would be the GPS wire? The VSS wire?

No clue dont have the system yet but doesn't one of the wires utilize the factory gps

There is a factory GPS antenna connection. But that is it besides the vehicle speed sensor wire

 

Doesnt the triple pulse parking brake bypass take care of that

Nope. I have the bypass. It does not allow video to be watched while driving. It is only pulsing the parking brake

 

Yes should be the same from 6600-8600

 

Beside not being able to watch videos, does the bypass help for any other functions?

 

So if you have the speed sensor and gps not connected it works, with the paking brake bypass

 

Are you asking? Or have you tried this? I hear it throws up alerts on the screen with the vss wire not connected. Someone earlier posted.
