I have no idea? Lol. It seems to function like a regular stereo with no bypass. If it doesn’t play video really doesn’t do anything. If I have YouTube playing the sound will still play. When I stop at a light the video will pop back up. And then off again when I drive. But u still hear sound. So I really could tell. Sorry

 

No I have not tried it. I really don’t think it would work properly after everything I have read. Someone needs to find a way to trick both sources into thinking the vehicle is stopped

 

Trying to get some more information from dude on reddit what he used and pictures. He's installed the triple pulse bypass and disconnected the gps satellite wire and has been working

 

Would u mind asking him how long his trips were? Read somewhere that they are only getting 15 minutes and then it picks it back up? Thanks for the updates

 

Is it me or is the headunit laggy? Is the picture quality of the backup camera crappy or did I do something wrong? Also, I can't use my Android Auto.

 

When I run Android Auto through wired, I get that message. Then I would have to engage my e-brake for it to work. When I run Anroid Auto wirelessly, I get "Android Auto Stop Working" message. So far, I am only able to get Android Auto to work via wired and have to engage the e-brake. I shouldn't have to engage my e-brake to get it to work though.

 

Yeah this is definitely weird. I have the bypass installed so maybe this is why I don’t have this issue? Is your oem gps antenna ran to the pioneer?

 

Yes, I am using my OEM GPS antenna. Which bypass are you using and how do you wire it?

All of this is such a pain in the ass. I may wait for a proven method. I also don’t want something popping up on my screen all the time. Maybe Once per use but not the entire time I drive. I appreciate everyone that is trying to figure this out. Sucks for us all that have spent so much $ and just want it to work like all the other models in the past. Thanks again everyone

Hello Everyone, looking for some help with the same problem. using a google pixel 3 phone and will not connect to android auto. tried Iphone and it works. unsure what to do from here. thanks for your help.

 

Yes. Black to ground Blue to amp remote turn on. Green directly to the green brake wire from the pioneer
