    As the title states.....

I have heard many stories to where certain grease guns are to large to fit in the tiny spaces to grease some of the zerk fittings on these trucks. As a remedy, many have filed down the tip to allow clearance. Are there any grease guns that can be purchased that are slim enough to not have to modify?

I've used lock&lube greasers for some time. I had to grind the diameter of a grease tip to fit tight areas that normal grease tips won't fit to reach the zerk fitting.

I have a zerk on my old Jeep that I absolutely can’t get the gun on it. This adapter works great!

It does work great! And it's relatively cheap.

^^This. They’re cheap (got mine for Less than $10 bucks) work well, and instead of screwing/unscrewing to your grease gun hose you can put a Zerk on the threaded end for speed and less mess.....

I have the cheap harbor freight mini one. Works great, just get a quality mini tube to put in it.

On the rear grease fitting on my 2019 TRD OR's driveshaft, the Lock-N-Lube standard device would NOT fit. I removed the heat shield, tried rotating the driveshaft this way & that, held my mouth "just right", and it still said "F you!".

Ended up removing the fancy $30 Lock-N-Lube adapter & putting the standard "dumb" grease gun fitting back on. It fit onto the grease Zerk fitting with no major hassle (other than requiring a good TUG to remove it after dispensing grease).

I considered the "Lock-N-Lube narrow needle dispenser", but...then again...WHY should I spend another $11 on top of a non-fitting $30 Lock-N-Lube grease adapter to STILL have to hold the needle into place with 1 hand, while pumping grease with my 2nd hand while holding the grease gun with my 3rd hand?

    Nope.

I also considered the Lock-N-Lube XL extended grease coupler, said to work by some for that fitting....for a modest $40! :-( NOPE.

The Lock-N-Lube worked OK with my John Deere riding mower Zerk fittings, but does not do the job with my 2019 Tacoma. Oh well...

just a tip. my zerks required a little nudge rotation before i could get a standard gun on it. you have some leeway to rotate them
as needed. factory was not too concerned about aligning them for accessibility, apparently. a flex hose was all i needed.

My grease gun has a flexible hose, and I tried rotating the driveshaft. It still hated me when I tried to use the standard Lock-N-Lube adapter. I MAY try their 90 degree adapter to see if that does any better. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07STDDN1S

i meant rotate the actual zerk nipple (after rotating driveshaft). may not apply to you but maybe.
edit: mine had angled nipples...i'm assuming everyone does.
