Is the check engine light supposed to come on when you first start up with the rest of the lights?

Changed the spark plugs and wires and cleaned the MAF.

The plugs I pulled out didn't seem too bad but one of the MAF wires was really covered in crap. About to take it for a test drive.

Not a super detailed pic but the spark plug looks to be wearing like a healthy one should. So that's always good news to see the plugs looking healthy.
And that cleaned up MAF sensor is now looking nice and resin-y like it should too.
Preventive maintenance goes a long ways. Not only the parts and fluids that get replaced, but you get to put your eyes on and take note of much other stuff while you're doing it.

Edit: zoomed in on pic, oops
But that used spark plug looks very good. How many miles are on it?

Hmm, 3k is special for some reason

After i dunked my truck it idled at 3k rpm, my buddies truck and one ive test driven redlines (obvious fuel cut) at 3k rpm

Only way i fixed my truck was by replacing the ecu

Weird they both went out? My retros have had several issues over the last two years. I’ve replaced the igniters on both, both bulbs and one of the computers. I would check the power at the lights. Maybe your power shorted somewhere after the fuse

sooooo my radio decided to shit the bed. It was fine until i got a new phone on Tuesday, then it wouldn't stay paired and kept having all sorts of issues. Took it to Car Toys today and they basically said it was dickered, so i drove to another location where they had one in stock (old one was from March so it was still under warranty). they wouldn't give me the new one without the old one, so i went and pulled the radio in the parking lot cause the techs wouldn't touch it (i did the original install myself). Overall it went well and I had the old one out and the new one in within 35 minutes. i'm just glad i keep tools in my truck, perfect example of why I do.

No test on the coil. He had me use the obII reader and it was that code then he insisted on the coil when i i mention plugs at the start before reading it lol. Course he wanted me to buy the 80 dollar shit instead of the 5 dollar spark plugs
