    The iPad Camera Connection Kit gives you two ways to import photos and videos from a digital camera: using your camera’s USB cable or directly from an SD card. iPad and the Camera Connection Kit support standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW.

    You can already use it to transfer and hold files on an external hd!

    With the new operating system coming out 4.2 you will be able to use the usb portion for a plethora of things ie.. on being MIDI compatibility..If any of you are in the market i would def pick this bad boy up.. I have one and i find myself using it more than my notebook!

    Meh, I was thinking that if there was a USB port as well as the standard plug then you could dock it as well as plug in a USB GPS antenna. Still can't justify the dash mount...

    They make bluetooth gps dongles and a blue tooth gps stack for the ipad.. * must be a jailbroken ipad but thats cake... Works really well.. many videos and writeups on the net about this.. Thats what my ipad is being used for as well.
