Tailgate alignment ?

I don’t know what that has to do with the tailgate.. but it was a good listen.

I am going to jump on this thread with a different angle question, I just had my tailgate repaired, when I went to pick it up, I noticed a gap between between the edge of the bed and the edge of the tailgate that I swear was flush before, now I can see daylight, on both sides. They are going to re-look at it, however, my spouse says it is fine, I don't feel it is. Anyone have suggestions?

 

I think mine has a small gap, pictures would help use determine if its normal or not

I measured mine just now, 3/16'' gap dead even throughout both sides.

 

@zoo truck can you see daylight throughout both sides? I mean the one (passenger) isn't nearly as bad so I am guessing they will have to adjust it, I just don't recall seeing that gap before and unfortunately I don't have any clear pics on it before I had the disagreement with the telephone pole

 

Just got it back (again) from the Collision Center and they fixed it! This is much better! Thank you all!!

I know this is an old one, but hopefully you're still here. Do you know what was done to get it aligned?

 

if you close it too gently, it doesn't latch fully
