I found it at a local butcher supply/spice shop... I paid about $3 for that bag. You can order it online but the prices vary wildly!!

Also @nDub ... You can get lost over on SMF.. don't forget to come back to TW!! Haha

Fatty turned out excellent. Ribs also great. I just can't pass up throwing a rack on when I fire up the bge. Add some fresh squash right out of the garden and it doesn't get any better.

Wife and kids bought me my first pellet smoker for father's day. They bought me the pit boss 700 classic from Walmart. Just got around to unboxing it today and this is what I found inside

Ouch. At least it's fairly easy to return/exchange stuff there.

Lousy picture, but sear & slide NY strips for dinner. No sides for me, just meat lol. While getting to room temp I hit them with kosher salt and patted dry before the sear. Best crust I’ve got in a while, then once I did the slide I hit them with the Montreal seasoning. Also, did them on my freebie kettle which is shallower than the one I normally use and I think lent a hand to the great crust

A little pork loin on the grill with a foil packet of Cherry pellets for some color/flavor.

Anyone else have this issue? Just got my smoker a few years ago. I mainly smoke on special occasions and when hosting groups of people. Yes I smoke chicken and small stuff here and there but not much.

I spend $50-$100 on meat. $20 on random spices and prep. 6 to 15 hours of prep and smoke. 1 to 2 hours of sides.

I get one to two plates of food and this is usually all I have left. 14lbs pork gone in 2 hours. I need to learn to cook for myself. Lol. Last Thanksgiving I got one piece of my sliced brisket. NO MORE!!

Ya I’ve gotten to the point where my food is pulled before anyone else gets theirs. People don’t like that? Learn to do it yourself then. One of the times being an ahole works out well. :)

Not going to lie. I was so happy to have that. Wife was going to eat it she said for breakfast but saved it for me. I was very grateful. She let me sleep in and get the leftovers since I was up all night. Started smoke at midnight.

Buy a butt for yourself. I always smoke two. One for the friends, and one for me (can use as back up if needed for friends), Frozen pulled pork reheats well.
