This is probably a simple thing that is right under my nose but why is my Nav destination "address" grayed out? I have used it a few times but this time it seems stuck and I cannot enter an address. What am I doing wrong?

Dont mean to revive this thread but is ABC the only shop that sells the map override?

I think u can do it yourself, all it takes is cutting a wire I believe. Look into the "HAI anytime camera" thread

This harness is plugnplay right? I wanna wait for the other guy reply first before looking into your suggestion, but i definitely would choose the plugnplay option :D

It's not plug-n-play, but it is cheaper, so take your pick. I used this harness because I also wanted to do some other things like having front and rear cameras and being able to force either camera on while in motion. Nothing existed, not even the $150 cable would have done exactly what I wanted. I also don't want to cut into my main wiring harness - words of advice my father gave me growing up.

If you want it to be permanent cut wire 17, if you want to keep your teenager from doing a nav search while driving add the switch.

Alexa works while moving to get directions and works pretty well. Much better than the shit system Toyota uses.

I have oem headunit and plan on changing it i just dont know when, the oem map is working as intended but i cant change route or add a stop on the go is annoying me thats why i ask for a bypass. The only thing i hate about the oem map is that you have to search city, state, home #, home street LETTER per LETTER and if they have the address youre looking for it will popup as a suggestion and you can just tap it. Also, it cant find addresses like HWY SR.

Alexa was added to the stock stereo about a week ago. If you have the entune app and connect it your stereo it will tell you there's an update and it'll add Alexa. It's not perfect but doesn't require you to do any type of mods and works pretty well. She can almost always find the destination and will send it right to the GPS for you. You just click go.

I cut that wire on the back of the head unit a year ago, no problems since. Plenty of threads here on it if you search.
