Now I'm wondering why my vents are quiet while closed and fan on hi.
It just moves more air out of other open vents.

Its also weird to me that a 2000 has wires and a distributor. My 2000 is coil on plug..

 

Bought the truck with an aftermarket radio.... does this look like a normal install to you guys? I've never put in an aftermarket unit before

 

That's the same 2 coilpack design my 98 has no dizzy, just looks like there's one

 

Just unplug the bundle of wires thats spliced and youre factory

Yes, you should leave OEM connector and harness on truck side in tact and get an adapter to connect to the stereo harness that then plugs into truck harness connector.
So yeah, that's what they did.

 

Cool, I'll leave it then... tuck it back up under the dash to hide my shame

 

I was gonna say the same but I think that would be the minimum threshold to be able to expect from an installer.
But at least they used the adapter! Too many dinkuses (sp. dinkusii??) hacking into the factory wiring!
